After a lot of talking and tweaking, both coasts have finally agreed to standardize the contest age brackets.
This will allow for the eventual ranking of every skimboarder pro & amateur who enters any of the major contests.
Below are the brackets which will be used by all of the major skimboard contests in the country.
Minis - 8 and under
Menehunes - 9-11
Boys - 12-14
Junior Men - 15-17
Men - 18-21
Sr Men - 22-24
Masters - 25-29
Grand Masters - 30-39
Sr Grand Masters - 40 & up
Girls - 14 and under
Women - 15 & up
Pro - any
The category you qualify for the 2007 contest season is determined by the age you will be on December 31, 2007.
